What personal data we collect
We collect what we need to run your account, keep play fair and meet the duties that come with holding a gaming licence. Most of it comes from you when you register, deposit, play or contact us. Some is created automatically as you use the site, and some reaches us from the partners who help us verify accounts and process payments.

- Your full name, date of birth and residential address.
- Your e-mail address and mobile number.
- Your username, password and security answers.
- Your account currency, language and contact preferences, including whether you have opted in to marketing.
Identity and verification documents
- Photo identification, such as a passport or driving licence.
- Proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement.
- Proof that a payment method belongs to you.
- Information about the source of your funds where our checks call for it, together with a record of each check we carry out and its outcome.
Payment and gameplay data
- Deposits, withdrawals, pending payments and balance history.
- Bets placed, games opened, results, bonus credits and wagering progress.
- The payment method used and the masked details your provider returns to us. We do not store full card numbers.
- Deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs, reality checks and self-exclusion requests you set on your account.
Device, technical and support data
- Your IP address and the approximate location it indicates.
- Device type, operating system, browser and screen settings.
- Pages and games you open, session times and cookie or similar identifiers.
- Live chat transcripts, e-mails and notes from any contact you have with our support team, including anything you tell us about your gambling.
Why we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes and no others without telling you first:
- To open, run and secure your account, credit deposits, settle bets and pay withdrawals.
- To confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are who you say you are.
- To prevent, detect and investigate fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, account takeover and money laundering.
- To meet our legal and licensing duties, including record-keeping and responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
- To operate safer gambling tools, apply the limits shown in your account and act on signs of harm.
- To answer your questions and look into any complaint you raise.
- To send offers, bonuses and news only where you have opted in, and to stop sending them as soon as you opt out.
- To keep the site stable and secure, fix faults and understand in general terms how our pages and games are used.
Verification is not optional
Our site is for adults aged 18 or over. We must complete age and identity checks before you can withdraw, and we may repeat them at other points. If we cannot verify an account, we may restrict it until we can.
The legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR
Data protection law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your data. In plain words, these are ours:
| What we do with your data | The legal basis in plain words |
|---|---|
| Opening your account, accepting bets and paying out | We need it to carry out the contract between us, which is set out in our terms and conditions. |
| Age and identity checks, anti-money-laundering checks and record-keeping | We have legal and licensing obligations we must meet. |
| Fraud prevention, site security and testing | It is in our legitimate interests to protect players, our games and our business, and we balance this against your privacy. |
| Safer gambling monitoring and acting on information you give us about your gambling | Your consent, or where the law allows us to use such information in the substantial public interest. |
| Marketing e-mails, text messages and push notifications | Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting your account. |
| Handling a complaint or a legal claim | Our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in defending and resolving claims. |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it in your account settings or by writing to us, and we will stop that use. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand, and it does not remove data we must keep for legal reasons.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers. We share it only with the parties below, and only with what they need:
- Payment providers, banks and card schemes, so deposits and withdrawals can be processed through the methods shown in the cashier.
- Identity-verification, age-verification and fraud-prevention partners, who confirm your details against their records and flag risks to us.
- The suppliers who host our platform, games, live chat, e-mail and analytics tools under written contracts that require them to act only on our instructions.
- Our professional advisers and auditors, such as lawyers and accountants, where they need it for their work.
- Our regulator, the police, tax authorities and other public bodies where the law requires or permits us to disclose it.
- The national multi-operator self-exclusion scheme, GamStop, so that a self-exclusion is applied across the operators taking part.
- A buyer or successor, if all or part of the business is transferred, subject to the same protections.
Where a provider is based outside the United Kingdom, we put in place the safeguards that UK data protection law requires before any transfer takes place.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account with us is open, and afterwards for the period the law and our licensing duties require. We do not keep it for longer than we can justify.
- Account, verification and transaction records: while the account is open, then for the retention period set by our anti-money-laundering and licensing duties.
- Limits, time-outs and self-exclusions: for at least the length of the measure, and for such longer period as our duties require. A self-exclusion cannot be deleted on request.
- Support messages and complaint files: for a set period after the matter is closed, so we can show how it was handled.
- Marketing consent records: while you remain opted in and for a period afterwards, so we can show your choice was respected.
- Technical logs and cookie data: for the shorter periods described in our Cookie Policy.
When a retention period ends, we securely delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.

How to use them
Write to support@casino-vave.co.uk or use the live chat on the site and tell us which right you wish to use. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else. We answer within the time limit the law allows and there is normally no charge. If we cannot do what you ask, we explain why.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please raise it with us first so it can be looked into. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at any time.
Cookies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, measure how the site performs and support fraud prevention. Non-essential cookies are set only with your agreement, and you can change your choices at any time; the categories we use, their purposes and their lifespans are listed in our Cookie Policy.
Staying in control
Deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are available in your account at any time. Free, confidential help is also available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and GamStop lets you self-exclude from participating UK operators in one step.
